An introductory seminar on the curriculum of the (Ajyal Educational Series)

Dar Ghad Al-Ajyal Publishing and Distribution House organized an introductory seminar under the slogan: "Together for the Advancement of Our Educational Curricula," focusing on the "Ajyal Educational Series" curriculum. The seminar was held at the Holiday Inn Hotel and was attended by 350 educational experts, school principals, and teachers from across the Kingdom.

The seminar was opened by Mr. Zaid Al-Talawi, the publishing house's director, who welcomed the distinguished guests and emphasized that textbooks are a primary educational tool and resource that helps children learn, develop their abilities and talents, and acquire diverse skills and knowledge in various fields.

He also reviewed the stages of the publishing house's establishment and development, which was achieved through collaboration with experts and specialists in the field of education.

He continued, stating that since beginning to develop their curricula, they have felt a significant responsibility towards their students to provide them with the curriculum using the best educational methods and resources.

In closing, he reiterated the points raised in His Majesty the King's discussion papers regarding the development of educational curricula and the emphasis placed on the importance of the education sector.

In the same context, Mr. Mohammed Jwaid, Deputy Director General, spoke about the development of the publishing house's curricula, which were prepared by highly qualified intellectuals with extensive educational and pedagogical experience.

He pointed out that these curricula are diverse and well-organized, relying on independent learning to equip children with the essential skills that prepare them confidently and steadily for subsequent educational stages.

Mr. Naseem Mutair, Director of the Design Department, explained the stages of book design and artistic production, adhering to well-defined methodological standards and principles. These curricula engage the child's mind and imagination, develop their skills, and help them understand the world around them.

In conclusion, educational expert Dr. Shaker Al-Qawasmi reviewed the sequence and stages of development of the "Ajyal Educational Series" curriculum. This series comprises twenty-four books, including student textbooks and workbooks, covering Arabic language, mathematics, science, and Islamic education in the Arabic section. In the English section, there are two student textbooks, workbooks, and, supplementing the English books, two math books, two science books, and a computer science book for kindergarten in both Arabic and English.

Regarding the participants' comments, they emphasized their confidence in the books of Dar Ghad Al-Ajyal Publishing and Distribution and their continued cooperation with the publishing house, given its role in developing new curricula that keep pace with modern developments and its particular focus on the student, their age groups, developmental stages, and psychology.
